In todays society  the  outside images  seems to count much more then who we really are.  Cocoons were inspired  to show we are not just our bodies.Our bodies are only cocoons for our spirits. As my Grandmother (in her 80's) told me , our   bodies betray us, but inside  she still felt 15, and still in love with her first love.

I can never get away from the body vs the spirit issues in my work, they are connected, that ongoing external and internal struggle.
